The Nelson Mandela Sport and Culture day aka the Unite campaign was to unite a nation for a large sporting and cultural festival at the FNB Stadium in celebration of South Africa's favourite son, Nelson Mandela.
I created the design for the mobile app, which unfortunately never saw the light of day. The idea behind the app was to have users engage in journeys involving historical events in Nelson Mandela's life.
I developed the digital marketing strategy and rollout which included:
- The official web portal
- Designed an engaging mobile experience which the client unfortunately didn't consider for the final project
- Marketing requirements for the social media platforms
- Digital billboard animations
The overall campaign was very successful
